Antibacterial Coating

TiVibin's functional-titanium coating is a spray-applied liquid composite. It forms an even, stable protective layer across furniture, floors, door handles and the other surfaces hands reach for all day.

It is built on bio-functional-titanium technology from the National Research Institute, combined with silver ions — so it keeps working even in unlit environments.

Technology Advantages

Technology & Competitive Edge

Active & Light-Independent

Keeps working in dark, enclosed or night-time environments — a broader and steadier range of use than photocatalysts.

Ultra-Long-Lasting & Stable

Antibacterial and antiviral performance lasts 2–6 months, and withstands washing, heat pressing and sun exposure.

Safe & Highly Biocompatible

Seven tests passed, including cytotoxicity, skin irritation and genotoxicity — safe with children and pets in the house.

Flexible Formulation & Custom Application

Formulation strength and application method are tailored to each surface and setting — from a single room to a whole building.

End-to-End, One Team

From site assessment and preparation through to the final check, one professional team handles the whole job.

Internationally Certified

Certified to ISO 18184, SNQ and FDA standards, backed by complete test data and real-world results.

Why Different

How this differs from
conventional disinfection

Alcohol, hypochlorous acid and hydrogen peroxide all work at the moment of use. The surface is clean right then — but once they evaporate or break down, it is unprotected again. The gap between cleans is where the real risk sits.

A photocatalytic coating does stay on the surface, but it needs UV light to switch on, so it does little at night or in dark corners. Functional titanium does not depend on light — once applied, it keeps working.

Clinical Evidence

What happens in a real hospital?

A respiratory care ward was followed for five months. Infection density in the treated ward kept falling, while the untreated control ward rose again over the same period — a difference unlikely to be chance (p = 0.038).

Characteristics of conventional methods are summarised from public sources and typical use; actual performance varies with concentration, formulation and method. Functional-titanium figures are based on P4 laboratory testing and third-party reports.

FAQ

Frequently Asked

The questions we are asked most often, before and after application.

QHow soon can the space be used again?
The coating is alcohol-free with no harsh odour, so the space is usable as soon as surfaces are dry — no clearing out, no downtime. That is the main practical difference from high-concentration fogging.
QHow long does it last?
Around six months from a single application; 2–6 months in typical environments. The exact figure depends on the surface material, how heavily it is used and how it is cleaned — we cover this during the site assessment.
QIs it safe with children and pets around?
The material has passed seven biocompatibility tests: cytotoxicity, skin irritation, skin sensitisation, acute oral toxicity, eye irritation, acute inhalation toxicity and genotoxicity.
QWhat is the coating made of?
The active ingredient is functional titanium — a titanium-dioxide and silver-ion composite — and the remaining ~99% is water. No alcohol, no surfactants, no adhesives.
QDoes it need sunlight or a light left on?
No. Conventional photocatalysts need UV light to activate; functional titanium does not depend on light and keeps working at night and in dark corners.
QWhich surfaces can be treated?
Walls, floors, furniture, door handles, switches and handrails — and soft furnishings such as curtains and bedding. The exact scope is confirmed during the site assessment.
QDo we still need to clean as usual?
Yes. The coating keeps suppressing bacteria and viruses, but it does not replace routine cleaning — dust and grease still need to be wiped away.
QCan other cleaning products be used alongside it?
Everyday cleaning is fine. We suggest avoiding abrasive cleaners and strong acids or alkalis, which can wear the coating down and shorten its life.
QCan we see the test reports?
Yes. ISO 18184 antiviral certification, P4 laboratory testing and the biocompatibility reports are all available on request.
